Trials and Tribulations of a Young New Yorker and His Travels

Jardin Japones

Jardin Japones 2

Today is a feriado or holiday in Buenos Aires so I figured no better time to do some touristic things as almost everything shuts down here on holidays.  I wandered over to Jardin Japones, the largest Japanese Garden outside of Japan.

Jardin Japones #1

The garden was interesting and had a unique feel as it is set right in the middle of the city. Also interesting were the people dressed up as anime characters for some sort of convention.

The highlights were the red pedestrian bridge, small little waterfalls scattered throughout and the giant carp that people were feeding. While it took less than an hour to see, it was a very relaxing place and renewed my interest to one day visit Japan.
