Trials and Tribulations of a Young New Yorker and His Travels

Puerta Abierta

One of my friends suggested a week ago that I attend a Puerta Abierta with her. Puerta Abierta, which translate to open door, is a dinner party that charges a minimal fee for unlimited food.

Puerta Abierta

I lucked out, because this night was sliders. Round after round of sliders was brought out, including beef, beef and chorizo and chicken. There was lots of great homemade sauces to go along with the great toppings the burgers came prepared with. In addition they made the best garlic rosemary fries I have ever had. The dinner was a great success, bringing over 30 people of many nationalities together for one reason; damn good food.
